Infrastructure Investment Conference November

Infrastructure Investment Conference

Tuesday 19th November | 10:00 - 12:00 | 2 CPD hours

For those who invest in funds there are 2 types of funds that give exposure to infrastructure as an asset class. Those that invest in listed equities and those that invest in unlisted assets – these could be directly in the physical infrastructure projects (like hospitals, schools, bridges) or private companies that operate communication towers, fibre optics cabling, electricity generation, etc.

Listed equities can of course be easily valued (just by looking at the share price), and easily traded and so fit well in open-ended fund structures, where the fund manager copes with daily fund inflows and outflows.

By contrast the private companies and infrastructure assets themselves are large, long & expensive to build, hard to value and slow to trade in and out of. So these assets fit well in CLOSED-ENDED structure format (otherwise known as investment trusts or more correctly investment companies).

These investment companies are themselves listed on the London Stock Exchange and can be traded easily via stockbrokers.

This conference will introduce you to some of the funds investing in this asset class.

This conference is suitable for IFAs, Family Offices, Stockbrokers and Wealth Managers and is free-to-attend for employees of regulated investment firms.

The session will qualify for 2 hours of CPD.
