Systems In The City Awards 2018

PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 13th JULY 2018

CITY’S BEST FINTECH COMPANIES ANNOUNCED

Leading service and system suppliers were announced at the Systems in the City Financial Technology Awards during a ceremony at Merchant Taylors’ Hall. From a list of over 130 firms in the sector, 55 companies were nominated and 29 received Awards. In addition, 36 individuals working for these companies were rewarded with the now customary SITC blue plaque.

Some of the comments from senior executives of winning firms include:

Nigel Reynolds, CEO Platform Securities said “We were honoured to be judged the Best Clearing and Settlement Service.  Every year the competition gets stronger, and to come top of a very strong field is testament to all the hard work the team at Platform Securities has done over many years, and to the support we receive from all of our clients.  We were also delighted that Will Burge was awarded the Financial Sales Specialist of the year”.

Neil Wise, Head of Sales and Relationship Management, Investment Fund Services, Clearstream Banking “We’re very proud to receive the SITC Award for Best Central Securities Depository, which supports and recognises our solid, scalable Investment Fund processing in the UK. Processing funds within a Security Settlement System is vital to ensure the safety and security of client assets and this award illustrates our commitment to achieving this”.

Daryl Roxburgh, Global Head of BITA Risk, said: “Goodacre’s Systems in the City goes from strength to strength in its 20th year, with a packed Merchant Taylors’ Hall applauding some of the best in the application industry. For BITA, winning awards such as these not only recognises the multi-year strength of the BITA product but also the vital leadership roles our people play in the market. I am pleased both for our team and our customers because these accolades confirm that what we are doing truly adds value. Achieving this sort of recognition pushes us to innovate more.”

Simon Shapland, Country Head UK & Ireland of Allfunds Bank ‘Allfunds Bank is delighted to be recognised for its ‘Best in Class’ mutual fund distribution capabilities at the annual Systems in the City Financial Technology Awards 2018.’  As the world’s largest institutional fund distribution network we continue to build a global market place where fund groups can reach world class financial institutions across more than 44 countries’.

Stephen Pinner, Managing Director of Goodacre UK, who hosted the awards ceremony said:

“These Awards are now the benchmark for the best providers. Our consultants carry out an annual review of all relevant services and systems and winners are determined from feedback provided by user companies. The work carried out by system providers is often overlooked and considering the major changes needed during the past couple of years, their efforts fully deserve to be recognised in this way”.
