Systems In The City Awards 2019
PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE London, Friday 12th July 2019
CITY’S LEADING SYSTEMS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS ANNOUNCED
Leading service and system suppliers were announced at the Systems in the City Financial Technology Awards during a ceremony at the Merchant Taylors’ Hall. Following an online nomination, survey and poll which attracted over 10,000 votes, a total of 121 companies were nominated for the 2019 Awards.
Individual commendations were also awarded to specific people whose clients had named them as going above and beyond the regular standards of service. The business broadcaster Michael Wilson presented the iconic SITC FinTech ‘Blue-Plaques’ to all winners which included William Rouse, of Dion Global Solutions; Jane Boorman, of JHC; and John Motley, of IMVS.
Some of the comments from senior executives of winning firms include:
Nigel Reynolds, CEO Platform Securities said “It was an honour to be awarded the Best Outsourcing Service at the 2019 Systems in the City Financial Technology Awards. We understand that this is a record year in terms of nominations, so true to nature the competition was stronger than ever. I would like to thank everybody in the Platform Securities team for all of their hard work in making this possible, and for proving that you value the quality of your work and the services you deliver.”
Neil Wise, Global Head of Sales for Investment Fund Services at Clearstream Banking said “We’re delighted to have received the SITC Award for Best Global Settlement Service which acknowledges our robust and comprehensive Custody offering for funds, bonds and equities. Asset safety is our primary purpose and we are extremely proud that our company has been recognised and acknowledged by both the market and our clients."
Daryl Roxburgh, Global Head of BITA Risk, said: “The Systems in the City Financial Technology Awards has grown enormously since its inception, with 2019 being vibrant and I believe having the largest attendance yet. Having won the Best Risk Management System category, it is an honour to have been recognised for our dedication to both our products and our clients. For BITA, these awards show how important the vital leadership role of our team is within the market. The award not only provides the proof that our product adds true value to our clients, but also the encouragement to continue to innovate and develop our offerings.”
Simon Shapland, Country Head UK & Ireland of Allfunds Bank said: “We are once again delighted to be commended at the annual Systems in the City Financial Technology Awards. This year our clients and the public chose Allfunds as the winners of the Best Fund Platform solution, a fantastic accolade which demonstrates our drive to constantly develop and deliver for our end-users. Allfunds is the world’s largest institutional fund distribution network and we continue to build a global market place where fund groups can reach world class financial institutions across the globe.
Stephen Pinner, Managing Director of Goodacre UK, who hosted the awards ceremony said:
"These Awards are now the benchmark for firms considering alternative services and systems, not least as it is the users themselves who have offered direct feedback on all SITC FinTech nominees. The majority of providers work hard in the background to support their customers and I am especially pleased with the number of individuals who were nominated this year by the user firms. The work carried out by system providers is often overlooked and considering the major changes needed to keep systems compliant and fit for purpose, all nominees fully deserve to be recognised in this way."
